George became a realtor in April of 1981 and received his Brokers License in 1987. For most of the past 38 years he was associated with or managed Century 21 Heritage Realty. He, along with fellow agents, purchased and ran the company until it was purchased by Prudential Bob Yost Homesale Services in 2013; the merger became Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty. George is now excited to bring his 38 years of wide-ranging realty experience to be the new Broker with York H-G Properties, LLC. York H-G and we are thrilled George has accepted this new challenge!
George is a Vietnam veteran and graduate of York College of Pennsylvania. Married in 1976, George and his wife, Anita, have been residents of York County for the past 42 years. They are proud to have raised two sons – a practicing attorney and a professional mixologist. George has also been an assistant scout master, founding member of York Optimists Club, Member of the Big Brother Big Sister Board of Directors, and member of several service clubs.

Consultations – Owners that find themselves in a position of owing more on their mortgage and/or equity loan than the current market allows as value. We discuss all available options such as refinancing, loan modification, special forbearance, deed in lieu of foreclosure, selling with a short sale and filing bankruptcy. The goal is to assist in making the situation as painless as possible regardless of the route selected or mandated.
Sellers – To facilitate a move which is as problem free as possible. Establish an asking price which is competitive with the market and that will command an offer to purchase from any interested purchaser. To safeguard the personal information of the sellers while facilitating the exchange of information on the property to the lender, appraiser and inspection people as needed. Coordinate the settlement and moving dates to accommodate the timing of the Sellers.
Buyers – Sit down to discuss wants and needs of the purchasers. To attempt to find homes which meet the needs of the client and help to fulfill as many desires as possible. Discuss financing and the various programs that are available based on income, credit and history. Talk about the various inspections that can be performed and the benefits or drawbacks of each. Help establish value on any home or homes that they have interest in prior to writing or making an offer. Facilitating or scheduling all of the dates and times for mortgage application, inspection, and other meetings that fall between the contract and settlement. Scheduling of utilities and final inspections.
Mentor – To assist newer licensees with the processes involved in listing and selling real estate in the current market. Illuminate options that might help licensees better serve their clients as they learn the business.
